Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC)

Business and Entrepreneurship Support Organization (BSO/ESO) focusing on Youth in the Private Sector and Business Community, through Participation, Inclusion, Empowerment, and Advocacy. The Chamber has successful engagements with the ITC Office in the Gambia, United Nations IOM, Project under the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Trade, National Assembly Select Committee for Trade, and other partners including CSOs, Local Government Councils and Development Institutions. Through this youth engagement approach, the chamber has successfully implemented a series of partnership activities, projects and interventions across all the regions of the country, with the presence of a strong stakeholder relationship in both the grassroots and the national level. Through this advantage, the chamber intends to advance Youth and Students Entrepreneurship through strategic domestic initiatives through the unflinching commitment of the Board of Directors and Management of the Chamber. Current Committee Roles, but not limited to the following: 1) National Trade Facilitation Committee Chaired by the the Ministry of Trade 2) National Implementation Committee of the AfCFTA Chaired by the Ministry of Trade 3) Thematic Committee on Migrant Return and Reintegration under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UN Migration Agency (IOM). 4) C20 Climate Finance Working Group chaired by the Ministry of Finance 5) Local Project Appraisal Committee (LPAC) and Project Steering Committee of the Economic Cluster under UNDP Gambia.
