Dr. Ashu Shukla is a Visiting Professor at Sawyer Business School, Boston, specializing in mentoring and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management. He has a distinguished career, combining academic excellence with leadership experience in the Indian government, UN peace operations, and police services, retiring as Inspector General of CRPF. Currently, he leads the management of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Dr. Shukla has been actively involved in management education since 2014, holding various leadership roles in national and international institutions. He has contributed significantly to performance management frameworks, including the Commonwealth Framework for Government Performance Management, and advises provincial governments on performance appraisal standards.
An internationally recognized speaker, he serves on governing councils, editorial boards, and as an Independent Director for Public Sector Undertakings empaneled by the Ministry of Finance and for Companies by Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India. His research interests include performance management, ethical leadership, and value systems in management, and he has authored numerous articles and presented at global forums.
Dr. Shukla has been honored with prestigious awards, including the Meritorious Police Service Medal, UN commendations, and others. He advocates for people-centered performance management, emphasizing ethics, attitude, and service. His mission, "Serve, Support & Simplify," is reflected in his pro bono efforts to educate street dwellers and environmental initiatives like planting over 100,000 trees. Academically, he holds a Ph.D. in Management, an MBA, and multiple diplomas and degrees, alongside extensive national and international training.
