This study presents a SWOT analysis of Olle Olsson’s mining company in East Africa and proposes a green business model based on China’s new environmental laws. Key strengths include access to critical minerals, while weaknesses involve funding gaps and compliance capacity. Opportunities from the African Union’s green minerals strategy and threats from tightening regulations are examined. Five recommendations are offered: cleaner processing, restoration funds, tailings reuse, community benefit-sharing, and ESG financing. The study concludes that a green transition is essential for balancing profitability with ecological responsibility in the region.
