I am Yuan Shuang, a senior student majoring in English at the School of Foreign Languages, Tianjin University, and currently a probationary member of the Communist Party of China.
Academically, my weighted average score is 91.28 and I have been awarded the National Encouragement Scholarship three times. I have also received Outstanding Communist Youth League Member twice and Outstanding Merit Student twice of Tianjin University.
In research and competitions, I participated in the 2024 “Telling China’s Stories Well in Foreign Languages” contest and won the second prize at Tianjin level. I also took part in a dialect research project led by the Institute of Linguistics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and participated in three national-level innovation and entrepreneurship training programs, focusing on linguistics research and application.
Regarding social practice, I served as the President of the Student Union of the School of Foreign Languages. And I volunteered for events like the China International College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Through these experience I exercised my practical abilities and received the honors like Outstanding Student Cadre of Tianjin University.
Looking ahead, through the recommendation-based admission process, I will continue my postgraduate studies at Tianjin University.
