The African Association of Entrepreneurs (AAE) is a legally registered business organization in Ghana, West Africa. AAE serves as a renowned platform within the African region, providing a united entity for entrepreneurs to address shared challenges. AAE is founded on the values of fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth. The association offers professional services such as industry insights, entrepreneurial training, business collaboration, and investor connections. AAE helps entrepreneurs enhance their business skills, expand their networks, and navigate competitive environments.

Our History & Record
In May 2005, AAE implemented a project titled “Promoting the Use of ICTs in Pro-private Sector Reform,” funded by Ghana’s Business Sector Advocacy Challenge (BUSAC) Fund, which established an Online Advocacy Toolkit for entrepreneurs.
In 2009, AAE began assigning mission-driven tasks to online volunteers through the UNV online volunteering service. AAE also launched a program to support independently managed sister organizations, leading to the establishment of AAE units in Nigeria, Uganda, and the USA.
In 2011, AAE’s Publication Department began compiling reports on the African business environment.
In 2012, the United Nations Economic and Social Council granted Special Consultative Status to the African Association of Entrepreneurs.
Between 2015 and 2016, AAE partnered with Child and Youth Finance International (based in the Netherlands) to train over 150 young entrepreneurs through an EU-funded project, offering online mentoring, training events, and boot camps in Ghana and the Netherlands.
In 2018, AAE’s Entrepreneur Department launched the Mentoring and Student Internship Program to facilitate cooperation between entrepreneurs, university students, and mentors.
